ANDREW KNOX
Andrew is an investor, consultant, and business leader specialising in the Sports,
Media, Technology and Marketing sectors. He has over fifteen years of international
management experience, and has acted as Director to six companies in these sectors,
over the past seven years.
He is currently MD, Continental Europe & President – France at Canterbury of New
Zealand - the world’s leading manufacturer of rugby equipment and apparel, rapidly
moving into various other sporting areas, including Cricket, Football, Sailing and
Golf.
After a two-year turnaround, Andrew recently relinquished the role of Chairman of
S-COMM Network Ltd (www.s-comm.com), the global sponsorship research and evaluation
company.
Prior to S-COMM, Andrew led a Management Buy In (MBI) of, and acted as Global Chief
Executive Officer to, both SportBusiness Group, (www.sportbusiness.com) and SportMarketplace
Ltd.
In previous years, Andrew has held a variety of senior executive positions including
his role within the venture capital industry, as a founder and Director of ICVEN,
a Paris-based, pan-European private equity fund, with two successful technology
IPOs on the London Stock Exchange. In an earlier avatar, Andrew worked with IBM
Corporation (www.ibm.com) , primarily leading Sales, Marketing and Business Development
teams in the Paris, New York and London.
A fanatical sportsman, Andrew has played rugby, tennis, cricket, basketball and
football to a good level at University in Loughborough, England, and University
of British Columbia, Canada.
A more accomplished tennis player, he claims doubles victories over Messrs Leconte,
Borg, and Vijay Amritraj more recently – but only as part of a pro-am with more
than a little help from the great Ilie Nastase as his partner!
BADRI SESHADRI
Badri Seshadri graduated with a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Madras in 1991 and a Ph.D from Cornell University in 1996.
He co-founded Cricinfo (now the World's largest single sport website) along with several others, and was one of the founding Directors of Cricinfo Ltd. in 1996, when it was incorporated as a company. Badri managed Cricinfo in India during 1996-99, functioned as Chief Operations Officer in UK in 1999-2000, worked as Director Commercial in India in 2001 and as Managing Director of the India operations and Chief Technology Officer between 2002-04. During 2004-05 he managed the mobile strategy for Cricinfo.
Badri is the Publisher and Managing Director of New Horizon Media Private Limited (www.nhm.in), a company that publishes books in Indian languages and English. A keen cricket fan, Badri occasionally writes articles on cricket for magazines and his blog.
RAMASWAMY MOHAN
R.Mohan is perhaps the most respected cricket writer from this part of the World.
His columns both in print and on the web, are widely read by cricket fans across
the world.
Mohan was the first Indian journalist to report on test cricket from all the nine
test-playing countries. He was the cricket correspondent for The Hindu & The Sportstar
for 18 years between 1979 and 1997, reporting live over 130 Tests. He is also the
Wisden almanac’s Indian correspondent.
He also reported live from four World Cups (from 1983 to 1996) for The Hindu and
a fifth (1999) for the United News of India.
Having watched cricket for over 40 years, Mohan brings his experience and expertise
to Cricketology and makes our game offering an exciting blend of news, views, insights
etc. to give the cricket fan a fuller picture.
Currently, he is the Editor - Sports at Deccan Chronicle’s highly successful Chennai
Edition, with overall responsibilities for the newspaper as Senior Editor.
